These Terms describe the scope and limitations of Bay Sale Ready, an independent informational website currently available as a free public test. They do not require a user to provide an account, property address, or transaction documents.
Site-wide source review checkpoint: . 62 registered sources were in that completed cycle; individual source records may be newer. Information may have changed since our last review. Verify current requirements and status directly with the responsible agency before relying on it.
Free public testing
During public testing, Bay Sale Ready charges no fee and requires no payment or card to use the site. Official city or agency fees and third-party costs are separate and are not paid to Bay Sale Ready. Free use during this test does not enroll a user in paid access and will not convert into paid access automatically. Any future paid access would require updated terms and a user's prospective, explicit choice; use during this test will not create a retroactive charge.
General information only
The site provides general public information and links to external sources. It does not provide legal advice or another professional service and is not a substitute for advice from a licensed California attorney, an appropriate licensed transaction professional, or the responsible government agency.
No official or individualized decision
The site does not determine whether a law or program applies to a particular property or transfer. It does not determine compliance, eligibility for an exception or extension, the validity of a certificate, responsibility under a contract or HOA document, a legal deadline, or whether a transaction may close. Question-list outputs are general prompts to verify, not applications, certificates, disclosures, permits, opinions, or determinations.
Official sources
Current governing law, live agency instructions, and decisions of the responsible agency control. Verify current requirements directly with the agency before acting, ordering work, relying on a deadline, or submitting a document.
No professional relationship
Use of the site or sending an email does not create an attorney-client, broker-client, advisory, agency, fiduciary, contractor, or other professional relationship. Property-specific questions cannot be answered through the site's email address.
External professionals and websites
A link to an agency directory, license record, or external website is not a recommendation, ranking, endorsement, or verification of quality, availability, price, insurance, licensing, or suitability. Professional status can change. Check the current official record and make an independent selection. Bay Sale Ready does not receive applications, payments, leads, referral compensation, or information submitted to an external site.
Availability and limitations
The site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis and may contain errors, omissions, delays, or outdated links. To the extent permitted by applicable law, no warranty is made regarding accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
